  14.         The Zip Terminmus 7.0B supports most PKZIP v1.1 and 2.04x options.
  15.         Note that certain options like multi-volume spanned archives, etc.
  16.         are not available with v1.1 .
  17.  
  18.         1. Added heads-up option display for VIRUSCAN(tm) in submenu #5,
  19.            "VIRUS SCAN FILES" . Added VIEW ACTIVITY/LOG selection.
  20.            Virus scan options used during compress and extract operations
  21.            are still set from the default table.
  22.  
  23.         2. Added switch support for VIRUSCAN(tm) /history --> activity/log
  24.            function. User is given opportunity to activate log option from
  25.            the default table which is brought up by pressing F5-PROGRAM
  26.            SETUP. Added to the default table is an entry which allows the
  27.            user to specify the directory location and filename.

  29.            The Zip Terminus takes advantage of VIRUSCAN's ability to recurse
  30.            through the directory tree. The /SUB option is fed to VIRUSCAN
  31.            whenever a recursive compress or extract with restoration of
  32.            directory structure is being performed and the F8-VIRUS SCAN
  33.            switch is in the ON position.

  35.         3. -ex option combination is now the default when running the
  36.            ZIP TERMINUS v7.0B for the first time or when a configuration
  37.            file is not found. This combination is both PKZIP v1.1 and
  38.            v2.04g friendly. It translates to use maximum compression -
  39.            create smallest ZIP file possible. The User may change this
  40.            to most valid flat archive options supported by PKZIP. Press
  41.            F5-SETUP at a menu or submenu and edit the default table.

  43.         4. Added popup help to guide user when editing compression
  44.            or extraction option entries. Added to each submenu the
  45.            ability to bring up PKZIP(tm) help display.

  47.         5. Revised the format of this documentation file to allow printing
  48.            with proper paging, etc. on most types of printers.

  50.         6. Added switch selections for  recursive compress with optional path
  51.            structure inclusion. Added selection/support for extraction
  52.            with optional restore/create path\directory structure. ZTEC 7.0B
  53.            also allows extraction from Zips containing path\dir. structure
  54.            information with the user option of specific or wildcard designated
  55.            path\filename(s) without path\dir restoration.

  60.         7. Increased logical drive support from A..I  to  A..Z

  62.         8. The Zip Terminus v7.0B was re-designed to yield maximum memory free
  63.            during the execution of memory intensive operations. Press Ctrl-F
  64.            at the main menu to find out how much free conventional RAM is
  65.            available. VIRUSCAN currently needs 320Kb and PKZIP(tm) 206kb
  66.            (v2.04g) on an unexpanded machine.

  68.         9. This version of the ZIP Terminus was updated for VIRUSCAN(tm)
  69.            version 9.14v102.

  71.        10. Floppy operation now limits program function selection to virus
  72.            scan only. Compress, extract, make exe and other operations
  73.            are not allowed if floppy installation work disk is detected.
  74.  
  75.        11. This version of The Zip Terminus has menu selections for creation
  76.            or restoration of recursive or non-recursive multi-volume ZIPs.
  77.            Format, DOS verify, and other options are submenu select available.
  78.            File extraction without path restoration and with the optional
  79.            use of wildcard specification is available.

  81.        12. Added advanced user mode switching. Read the section entitled
  82.            "ADVANCED USER MODE" found in this document.

  84.        13. Added the ability to run PKCFG.EXE from the default table. This
  85.            gives the user option to modify the pkzip.cfg configuration file
  86.            while running The Zip Terminus. PKCFG.EXE must be located in the
  87.            same directory as PKZIP, PKUNZIP, etc. The current directory at
  88.            the time of execution is the location of PKZIP. Read your manual.

  90.        14. The Zip Terminus attempts to detect earlier verisons of PKZIP.
  91.            Zip Terminus menu options such as CREATE M-V ZIPs and RESTORE
  92.            M-V Zips are not available under PKZIP v1.1 .

  94.        15. Zip Terminus v7.0B  supports the use of DOS verify option during
  95.            multi-volume archive creation. This option is switch selected. Use
  96.            of PKZIP v2.04e or v2.04g is required.

  98.        16. Added trouble/error message section to the main documentation file.

  100.        17. Compress operations are suspended and request for continuation
  101.            confirmation is made when the -m MOVE option is detected in
  102.            the Zip Terminus default table entry for compress options.

  109.         18. The following is a list of changes: ZTEC70B vs. ZTEC70A
  110.  
  111.             -m move option confirmation added; relaxed checking during
  112.             wildcard extraction of recursive and MV Zips(allow -d and
  113.             -x options to be accepted); added logical drive #B denial on
  114.             single floppy machines when user selects CTRL + Drive Letter
  115.             for others; added MV compress submenu selection for NO recurse
  116.             and NO path structure inclusion to allow compress of single
  117.             directory; whatsnew file renamed to readme70.txt; added file
  118.             selection display...sort by name. Previously used natural order;
  119.             added start-up option /v which sets F8-VIRUS SCAN FILES to the ON
  120.             position when first starting The Zip Terminus - default is
  121.             OFF. However, and as in version #70A, once turned on will stay
  122.             on until toggled off; configuration table modified - read
  123.             below.

  125.         19. ZTEC configuration table operation changed. Table entry #1 is
  126.             no longer modifiable - it is set at program start-up. The table
  127.             will be fully initialized when entry #1 does not agree with the
  128.             start-up location of zt70b.exe or no configuration table found.
  129.             Certain table entries are initialized to UNDEFINED!. Some programs
  130.             used in conjunction with ZTEC may have already been installed or
  131.             use an installation program which presets a certain directory
  132.             location. User MUST CHANGE all UNDEFINED! table entries. Failure
  133.             to do so may result in access to certain program functions being
  134.             denied. Floppy installations, which allow only virus scan,
  135.             initialize in a different manner. Follow the installation guide
  136.             outlined in ZT70BDOC.TXT
